The covers are antique grainsacks from Germany circa 1800's. The spines are antique French tapestry's which date back to the mid 1700"s. The very small journals have a vintage metal ribbon used as the spine.
The paper is 140lb. All books are edged in gold leafing, lined in either handmade made marble paper, vintage ledger paper from the 1800's or vintage wallpaper from the early 1900's. The journals have been bound with linen thread in a coptic stitch.
In the very large journals you will find a vintage victorian frame ready to hold a photograph, poem or special note. Just slip it into the bottom of the frame. There is an envelope page at the back of the book to hold small notes or treasures.
The tapestries, grainsacks and ephemera are antique. You will see loose fibers and imperfections which add a unique beauty and a little charachter to each journal. These can be used as beautiful guest books, journals, sketchbooks etc. They look stunning stacked in a set of 3 either on a shelf or upon a table or desk.")
